Still in final stages of negotiations but around £14k with hydraulic hitch and three buckets. Although I already have s30 hitch and buckets on the way to go on it so it’ll be a bit less.

There’s one E27 left if you want to do the same. 2023 manufacture year / 2024 model year (sorry, I took the 24/24!)

I have a few who were after mine that I can pass details on to also.

Yanmar were cheap at £30,750 with hydraulic hitch and three buckets. Cat £31,750 for the same and JCB £36k for the same. . Kubota and Takeuchi reps never got back to me so fk em.

At £33-34k for the same spec the Bobcat might sound pricey but having recently sat in all bar the jcb it’s honestly a premium product as far as I’m concerned. Nothing else as planted, powerful and comfortable.

I also sat in a cabbed E20 which made me briefly consider chopping in my e19 canopy, until reason intervened (shite 1.7t/1.9t residuals currently and I need to remove canopy more frequently than one might imagine). What a nice little digger to spend a day in. Incredibly roomy cab- and it’s a zero!View attachment 57845

My chequebook is staying firmly shut right now!!!
Mine’s only done 7 or 800 hours so can stay here and earn some more money for a year or two, it’s a good digger (let down by poor paint sadly).
Is ac still not an option in the E27? That would be the one thing that might temp me elsewhere to be honest!

Bloody hell, barely run in! Going my the response to my advert, you'd probably get a bit more for yours. Surely you'd change for 8k over 3 years 0%?

6 month lead time on either CAT or JCB with aircon. I didn't like the CAT. I'm not silly tall at 6' and I'm looking at the top of the window all the time. Lovely smooth machine but didn't want to move anything on the arm whilst tracking. Little 1.1l turbo engine. Not sure how electrics will last. And very noddy even with just an empty tilt bucket. And I'm not going to take a punt on an untested JCB especially at £3k more whne I know that the Bobcat is absoloutely perfect for my work.

I found clear waxoyl (Bilt-Hamber Dynax UC) stopped the paint from falling off futher whilst still looking presentable (as you can see from my photo)

Fk. I’ve just sold my e27 over the weekend. 1950 hours on a 2019 and tight as a nut. Seriously impressed with the lack of wear in the pins. Not on steels, on a new set of rubbers.

If it falls through I’ll let you know but the buyer seems a reliable chap and has paid a deposit

It's all listed above mate! Honestly, people can take the piss all they like but I wouldn't have anything else currently.

Was going to ask that. That would prevent me buying one tbh . Otherwise they do look a decent machine being the right weight etc.

It has a five year warranty and an upgrade cost of £13,500 including hydraulic hitch and buckets. That's around £6.89 per hour in depreciation. Given that I charge £60 per hour and diesel runs to around £5 per hour, I'm jolly pleased with that.

I can break anything! I did feed back about it and received the standard 'we've never had that before'. Well now you have! The old one is now strengthened sufficiently and with all the rollers and idlers still good, I'd say it's pretty well built overall. Room for improvement, sure, but it's still a better digger overall for my trype of work) than the others I tried.

Until you put a digger into the woods full time, it's not tested 'properly' IMHO. Lifting the odd boulder or bulk bag is nothing compared to the all day long, repetitive cycles of 80-100% loading that is proper timber work. I'm exceptionally impressed with the lack of pin wear, so I'd save overall they are bloody well built.

I prefer my depreciation rate to be under £2 ideally I always hit this stumbling block when it comes to a new 3 tonner. The 2nd hand machines always seem to add up better for me and the fact I can have 2 tidy 3 tonners for the price of 1 works really well for me. But the real issue is actually finding decent used ones. I've was exceptionally lucky with both of mine, right place at the right time. So many disappointments out there

He’s taken on board all the comments I have passed on from this thread . He isn’t ruling it out but he’s a bit more cautious now .
He is also not needing to buy immediately so if anyone else is thinking of selling a 2.6 2.7t without a tilty in the very near future that doesn’t have space ship miles on it let me know . The only thing he doesn’t want is a jcb . He’s a bit flexible with budget as well .

Dear oh me. You can only lead a horse to water... Personally think he could do so much better than that. There is Kx027-4s with original paint starting to come up around that kind of money- few TB230s too much perhaps too heavy.

He likes the kubotas , he’d have a Takeuchi but the weight would need to be right .

Bucket ram looks like its been rubbing something frequently - and buckets if they belong to actual machine means its deff an avoid imo
Just looked closer at those buckets ...cheeky feckers chucking that scrap along with it.

@doobin I was quoted around 36k for the cat with Aircon and was told no prices for the JCB 26c with air con was told roughly a 2k extra and a few months before pricing revealed.

I debate at times getting rid of the 8026 but prices of newish used kit seemed to have dropped and new prices seem to just keep rising.

What were the figures to get that deprecation? That's damn good. I guess you put a few more hours on it? I'd have happily put another thousand hours on it but I reasoned for the cost to change I'll keep it fresh, it's a frontline machine. Will be sad to see it go.

I'm treating the new one to some rubber clip on pads (every other shoe) for the steel tracks- should make it easier to use on posh jobs in the winter.

I'd be careful with that CAT 302.7, from the spec sheet, its not half as powerful in the dig as a lot of the others especially against the 8026. And stability has been mentioned by a lot of people now. I've yet to drive one, and they look really well put together - but at the end of the day we buy a machine to perform and for me thats more important than legroom or a fancy screen.
Despite our light mocking of Doobins Bobcat, I have always thought they drove well whenever I've used one. And you cant beat them for spec vs cost.
As for new 2.7t machines, the new JCB is obviously a contender in my eyes but yet to see one out and about. But the new Wacker Neuson 27-2 looks some bit of kit. And some lovely options on it too.
