so what have we. £65K of tractor? when folk moan about impending doom of clamp downs in farming industry who's to blame?

Farmers! This winds me up big time, we farm and like all the kit to be legal and tidy. The trailer is barely fit out. The tractor is more than £65K try £100K! I know loads of people who move stuff without straps or chains and mock me for strapping stuff saying "it'll not go anywhere that". Time for MOT's at the very least. No excuse for being lazy not securing stuff or adjusting/fitting brakes suitable for road use and making sure lights work. Added to the fact a trailer that length should really have markers or reflectors down the side.

probably driven by a 17 year old that can't drive a 1.0L micra yet.
Some of the stuff i see makes the mind boggle, like wild west out here. Latest fastracs seem the favorite for the local "heavy hauliers" Saw one othe morning, pitch black with at least a 15 tonne machine on back with no lights or chains on show...would have a made a fair dent in someones bonnet.

I sound like a killjoy and I'm sure we've all done "optimistic" stuff and "got the job done" etc but these days on busy roads its asking for trouble..

If the driver is only 17 with a tractor licence then he/she is not permitted to drive a tractor or trailer over 2.45m wide which that one is.

Haha, wish I'd a video of the kid trying to drag the biggest rear sh*t spreader over our canal bridge in a brand new JD. He reckoned it would just pull through, all four wheels on JD spinning and jumping...the 200 year old bridge won. He had a long reverse!

Bridge is 11ft (measured it once...for other reasons) he was a god couple inches wider on each side.

Saw a young lad driving a fastrac with trailer behind

steel tracked JCB (15-20t machine at a guess) on the back with another lad sitting in the cab on the trailer!

worse thing was it wasn’t even chained on!!!!!!

Good Job those big spreaders don't fit over old bridge's, 20 years ago we were running overweight on single axle ones and they are now on triples. I heard of a farm weighbridge that didn't have enough capacity to weigh one contractors combo

It’s just as bad with folk not strapping diggers / buckets down to plant trailers..even worse when they are on flat beds beyond me!!
