Had a cylinder that wouldn't fit the trolley so I've cut a foot out and now need to rejoin it. I was thinking tig root and then go low Hydrogen mma, any better ideas ?

just use a heavier than air gas and you don't need the top it'll just sit in there nicely, bit like the video of the lady filling plastic shopping bags with petrol then putting them un sealed into her boot..... recently seen on Facebook

I was told a few weeks ago in Sainsbury's petrol station that someone did the same, they will only let you fill 5ltr can now and they will ask to see it

Thank heck for our local garage. Couldn't give a ff. Filled 2 Jerry straight into the back of a jimny (fits nicely) never occured to him that jimnys don't have a 80L tank 🤣

Probably helps that the lad on the till can't really speak English ..not sure they even know what a jerry can is

Yes please, when can I pick them up ?
That one in the picture already has a run of weld round it, was having a horrible time with circumferential welds and ran a bead around the neck to check that I hadn't completely lost it 😅
Scrap pressure cylinders are just lovely material to weld 🥰

they're extruded from billet and MIG a treat - deep vee , couple of decent stitches and one good weave pass on a roller table ;):giggle: .. just get the paint off and back to bare .... my grading beam roller is 3 parts oxy bottle ;):giggle:
