I try and make habit of paying in cash especially in our pubs, Around here where most twats come home from London and use there phone to pay for everything including looking and ordering from the pub menu (I kid you not) I pay cash and make a point of saying loud enough that "cash is king" and then watch the eye brows raise. The final thing that I do this time of the year is get into my Ferrari or classic 911 these people like to judge others so their faces are a picture!
i have seen people paying the ice cream van for a couple cornets with their phone i was a bit gobsmacked. bought one each for me and mrs gave him some folding he looked at me as if i had two heads or something i just said i am a dinosaur and dont do paying by phone.

The fact you've probably made him another 1% didn't occur to him...and he can then pay for his "other" products....😶

I draw out and spend actual cash every week.
It’s a ball ache but I think I must.
Once they find a reason that will be palatable to remove cash altogether, we peasants have no power over banks and governments.
Wait till cash has gone and the banks start charging you every time you use your debit card.
Only a little at first… then???
The government can then shut off your revenue to keep you in line as they wish.
It will happen slowly but it will happen.
Spend some cash every week😉
