Thought the main storm was coming tomorrow- up to 100mph winds on coastal parts- plus it's spring tides- so could cause a bit of carnage. Agree though- weather is rarely as dramatic as they say- unless it's rain😭

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
Wonder if it will blow Druids polytunnel into nextdoor 🤣
He's probably got that many sandbags on it you could take the polytunnel away and you'd still have a shelter
well it's still there this morning ..... went out last night 'bout half twelve ... blowing like fook ... to make sure they were all as in position as they could be ... the ends take the most battering..... repositioned a few for max purchase on the flaps and hoped!!
Full on S westerly is our usual source and didn't disappoint last night ... looks to be a little more southerly tomorrow, which is good - hits the poly., side on then (y)
short of lifting a couple of full IBCs into it and lashing the frame down to them, ain't much else I can do (for now-I have a plan) ;) ... as these sorts of storms are getting more frequent AND severe :(

So this reminds me that I’d better secure the rip in my polytunnel this afternoon
Previously stitched it with cable ties but now that’s ripped.
we’ll put a rat s**t strap over it before T at 3 🤠

funnily enough, just been looking at doing the same thing to mine .... wood baskets one side and the fence the other side, to secure to .... biggest issue is what/how to secure it over the light frame of the tunnel, without holing the covering and keeping it in place ??:unsure:

.....so Ryan helped me fix a sheet of polycarbonate over the gash. All held down with a nice 5T strap
What can possibly go wrong :ROFLMAO:
