should've left the slew lock off/free swinging - that's the form in windy conditions ... might have stayed up then :unsure:

looks like they're assembling/dismantling it ... must've had a kink/dent/damage in the boom and it just folded sideways initially - then it was game over :(

been quite a few vids recently of towers in earthquakes :oops::oops:

Natural instinct to jump, that's why wearing a belt is sometimes a better option, I know from experience!

Handy bit of kit
neat idea but putting way too much out ... will end up in a big blob on the deck on retraction ... won't beat a paint brush and the boom tele-ed out flat - thin film or it's just a waste ..... can't see a cartridge lasting long at that rate either

World's smallest navvy with 3 equipments on a common boom (also had a boom extension so it could act as a crane - pre 1961 law change?)
Rapier 4 1/2 0 Weighed about 4.5 tons, made I think between the '30s & '50s - made obselete by the tractor based machines.
Anyone know of one in preservation? Said to be the world's first mini digger but totally friction / mechanical drive, note the external housings on track frames for dog clutches / brakes?
