That's darn clever! Seen Matt's new crane? Absolutely beautiful
missing any diagonal bracing though and in a timber building can't be braced to the main structure .... 's gonna wobble pretty quickly with use ... those hold downs're gonna be working pretty hard with all the stops and starts

Interesting point. he did put some big extra founds in and the stantions looked pretty solid 🤔 guess they did their calcs
Didn't seem to put a cross brace either end which I thought they might?

Not sure this should be in here or oops thread. Got a call yesterday from a large crane company could we assist in cleaning up and cutting the boom. Basically a cowboy outfit were hired to provide a 350 ton mobile to stand a tower crane. Crane arrived, all paperwork in order started the job, we’re lifting up cab when boom collapsed, turns out crane was a 250 ton with docs all doctored 🤠 crane didn’t belong to company that contacted us.

What's the plan then... second crane, mewp and the gas axe or excavator and shears
Crane, mewp and gas axe. Hefty quote put in let’s see if we get it 🤭

Don’t know, should have done a road closure and put it up on a Sunday at ease instead of reaching across the length of the site, would have saved this mess.

Pakistani, they would make us look like choir boys with their antics Aiden🤣 though now you’ve said it, maybe there’s a reason the Irish crowd got a call to clean it up

Good to see the crane operator checkes the condition of the ropes!! Lucky the jib didn't take out the tower crane mast when it failed.
