Malcolm Davies from Carmarthen's crane ... probably trying to get away with one less truck load of ballast :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
gonna either have to derig the lift, to add ballast, or send out a support crane, with the additional truck full of ballast, to lift it onto the arse end

Is that classed as caution or a failed lifting plan?

Stick a coupe of high lift farm jacks under the corners to break the tension!! 😂😂😂😂
if he's set up and rigged for say 40t and yon bridge is more the bell's gonna go off and that's it - game over at that rig
down to whoever spec.ed the weight to be lifted really
as said, it's either stuck and needs to be broken free, if the weight is as determined - difficult one - applying X t lift and busting it free is iffy, if it turns out to be X t minus a few tonnes - 's gonna take off

Why is he so far from it? You would assume the bank is stable as it supports the bridge .. or has someone calculated that it’s the closet safe distance between outriggers and the river bank?

I'd say the ground will be really soft knowing where it is
I'd say they're working on a 30% grade stand off there ... 45% is OK-ish if the ground is known to be good and solid - as Andy says it'll be soft as shite there - all alluvial flood plain
the bridge parpapet/founds will support the bridge, but those two rear outrigger pads'll have one hell of a load on them

meant to say degrees not percentage (which is damned near anyway)

did anyone notice this reel after the crane one above .... pretty cool set up, but must weigh some with all the telescoping gear

Bet this wasnt a cheap recovery!
One ponders if the carbon footprint of that turbine has increased somewhat 🤣

8.07 ..... spot the mistake rookie error .... reeved the block the wrong way round :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
they also don't seem to know that the anti two block weight splits apart easily, to get the rope out, rather than hauling it all the way through :(

doubt that tower'll be fit for purpose after the torsional strain it'll've been under there

front carrier /cradle looking decidedly lop sided when he eventually moved off :oops:
