A hell of a lot!!!!
Not crane as such but they've been involved...I think it's about to get lifted into place over the M42...any reason why they've rigged it so high up? Some temp cribbingView attachment 39859

Literally sat up there. Quite a way from its final spot.![]()
Yes looking at the removed armco in front think your rightI would take a fair guess that they will drive a set of hydraulic bogies underneath and drive it into place rather than lift it. They did it with the huge bridge in Gatwick airport. Was built a mile or so away and they drove it into place
wind? looks like the blades were up against the jib .... wouldn't take much of a gustSh*t!!![]()

followed a Sparrows 250ish into town yesterday afternoon, taking Clara to meet her mum at the doc.s .... was making fair progress on the 465, fair play ..... took some getting past - I was tight for time.Had a fresh 250 ton Demag on the job I’m on yesterday putting up the tower crane, all up in the day, tested and ready for work this afternoon. I wasn’t staying late to see the jib put on, spent enough bloody hours here last week getting openings down through the basement slabs to get the crane in![]()
Looks like a Potain MDT tower crane going up there being red it could be an ex Kiers one, The tower crane division was sold of a while back I think HTC in Sheffield acquired a few of their cranes. Like to see a few more pics once the jib is fitted.Had a fresh 250 ton Demag on the job I’m on yesterday putting up the tower crane, all up in the day, tested and ready for work this afternoon. Mog’s not so much of a bike man so I’m guessing not guilty on this occasion.![]()
