Why not just cut it into pieces and crane out with a small unit as it is scrap now surely 🤔

my thoughts exactly - God knows how many of those cranes you could buy for the recovery cost

Spotted this on a barge.
Two things got my attertion - the track drive and the "load sensing". Clearly the counterweight lifts if the boom load gets too high (presumably warning the driver or engaging an interlock)

Crane thread or today’s job🤔
Cutting this animal up at the moment 7 tons of counter balance weight plus about 5 ton of steel fragments in the arse of it😳
Going to lift it off the track frame as it’s too wide to get out of the lane at the moment snipped the jib up a few years back✂️
