a mate used to run a Demag 80AT for Ainscough ... would often be in the saddle at 4 a.m. to be in Aberystwyth for 08.00 start .. work all day and maybe home for 9 or 10pm ... he lived in the bloody thing ... his missus made more stacking shelves in Waitrose than he would if he didn't live in it .. summat wrong somewhere, when a man in charge of approaching a million quids-worth of kit is in that position ... went to his funeral about ten years ago .. 42 .. massive heart attack one Sunday morning, lying in bed, whilst his missus had gone down to make them a cuppa ... massive shock for Sarah when she came back and found him gone

Often thought that ...seen Bryn Thomas lads on site here at 7 must be early risers...

Here are some crane pictures from a bridge replacement happening down the road from me. Just brought the peices in and put tracked crane together today. I guess that's what the wheeled crane is there for?

We never see Deere plant over here, guess its a subsidiary of John Deere, or was? Or some tie up with another manufacturer so they don't bring them here for competition?

They used to be rebadged Hitachis but this year they ended their partnership.

that Manitowoc 'd 've arrived on up to 15 trucks, depending on the rig and would've needed the Linky to help put him together, but will self assemble on decent ground ..
damned near a square track base on that -- will do 270t as a 'basic' machine and 15t on a single line ...

been put up before .... guessing someone forgot to rig the super lift lines to the fly tip ..... and it all snapped off when they took the bite, getting it off the deck

Had to call a crane in on Friday last. The stairs which we had set in with a hiab where 100mm to low.
we discussed various ways, including "A" frames and pully blocks. A mini telehandler through the double doors ( although I think it would be 60mm to wide) and hydraulic Jack's.
At 3 ton it was going to be a hassle.
On Wednesday I looked at it and thought..... a straight lift through the roof might just work. Called a customer with a crane, and he said il get it on the way past job done, no one hurt and away we go
