Seeing as I spent a very miserable day on a cabless machine I thought I'd Google some options to stay warm and remembered some ideas from the old forum

Whilst I'm not sure opening up the bosses digger seat to install these would go down very well some of the owner ops might like this as might be more waterproof than the over seat ones

Makita do a cheap 18v blanket if you have the batteries. I'd buy one for the dog but she's only 5 and I already get told I treat her like a princess

Very expensive for something that will most likely get lost or damaged
I have found a cheap waterproof seat cover for a tenner I might get that and glue some of those pads to the back
Little sealed box with the electrics and a lead with crocodile clips can then put it in any vehicle I'm driving even when on dumper duty

I'm absolutely fine if I have to work but sitting still I just cannot get warm no matter how many layers
My toes and fingers get so painful sat still
I like the idea of heated insoles they sound great

Smartwool socks have been decent for me can't remember the last time I had cold toes

A price of perspex on the back of the canopy makes a big difference, stops the wind and rain going down the back of your neck. I've a bib and brace that keeps you nice and warm I've also got a heated seat pad that helps warm you up and plugs into the fag lighter, but it needs turning off after 10 minutes or it feels like your arse is on fire

used to do that with a couple of my FLTs .. in / out in the weather daily, made a huge difference ... sheet above and one behind, kept a hell of a lot off you

100% good buy. Still got the original two I purchased years ago and both still going strong.
Never a great start to the day, scraping ice off the seat then freezing your backside. Surprisingly I find that they make a lot of difference to your overall warmth, not just the seat and lower back.
