Any caravan sites (non pikey) nearby? They often don't want vans on site over a certain age, either try direct or find out who moves them for them and see if any for sale. I wonder if with covid they might be thin on the ground?
You'd think so but our local "holiday" site want around 1k just to tow one from the pitch to the entrance, any sales have to give them a hefty commission. Then on top of that any owners who sell off their old statics get a couple of grand or so where they then sell them for upwards of 20k

No wonder the owner can just fly around in his helicopter on the odd time he visits to collect money or whatever.

The people are stuck, it's one of those live on site for 11 months of the year setups. It's a con and not really any cheaper than buying an actual house, by the time you factor in around 5k for ground rent plus the savage cost of buying one of the statics. From a quick look 33k for a 2011 and 39k for a 2006 😳 with lodges north of 100k 😳

Not even a beach or any real decent activities either

‘Buy’ one on this place (some of them are just shy of £1million!!!...), give them £15k a year ground rent and they kick you off after 15 years unless you buy a new one off them!
And the place has potential new owners queuing up!
That’s an incredible number of people with an incredible amount of disposable income and an incredible lack of concern about spunking it up the wall!

It’s like a members club where by you only rub shoulders with people of the same ‘class’(or lack of!)

Will just do the local farmer trick and move it in the middle of the night down the main A road 20 miles 🤣🤣
You've got to keep the speed down those tiny tyres take a lot of pain even trundling off a low loader

I launched boats there one summer 25 years ago and it was full of pricks then - it has got even worse since sadly.
The place is held together with cocaine and plastic surgery - a greater concentration of false, vain, self-important, arrogant, unlikable dickheads cannot be found outside Alderley Edge tbh!
