Cat 1? Where dis u get them from?Welding on some hook link ends. Got a hydraulic tip link for it too. This will make hitching up so much easier, especially on your own.

Yes...my Chinese flail often needs some tweaks after a stump grinding sessionGave her a good workout yesterday doing cut and collect on birch saplings and bracken. Star of the show actually has to be the Chinese flail collector, which lost another couple of bits but just kept going! I was amazed how quickly the job went. 2nd and 3rd pic are the same field from different views. 2nd pic shows an area which took around three hours total. By the time you factor in hassle factor of moving a full size tractor, I don't reckon it would have been any cheaper. Compact size meant that I could weave in and out of gorse, lift it up over heather and make some nice scalloped edges that the nature reserve guys love. Did three areas like this and cleaned up in a day.
I left it in piles at regular intervals as you can see, and it took just twenty minutes to load it away with the Multione and Ranger tipper. Much faster and more comfortable on the way to the dump site, which was a fair distance. That's why people think these jobs take ages- they just don't think smart and instead spend ages trundling a microscopic amount to the dump site and back. If you didn't have the Multione on site then you could have a loader on the tractor instead- it would be a one-trip job, tipper and tractor/cutter/front loader.
I'm promised the weights for the tractor at first service. The cutter deck I ordered would be nice tooOverall the tractor is superb, and definately the right choice. I love the bi-speed turning, and when paired with the independant brakes I've never driven such a manouverable tractor. The hydro transmission is definitely the way to go for this kind of work, and I'm glad I went for the Kubota with three ranges over something like the JD or NH with two ranges. It's an awful lot of tractor for the money, and I'm finding more and more jobs for it.
Plus it was nice to be on something other than a digger for a change!

Yeah but how many machines do you need to keep you in workI’ve not paid tax for years!
It’s amazing how work seems to come to a machine.
I have no idea, but the way things are looking I reckon it's better to be diverse. Personally I feel more comfortable with 100k in finance (maybe more like £150k, I don't actually know) on seven small machines that can do almost anything between them than a new 13 tonner with tilty. Small is beautiful, big diesel hungry kit that you can rent for peanuts is good for the Instagram likes but not so much for the bank balance.Yeah but how many machines do you need to keep you in work![]()
I get you on the smaller kit .....8t is my biggest machine , only a large mini digger realky but even with that I put a few km of forest tracks in and while it made a nice change to stay in the cab for a bit by the time I'd smacked the digger about in the woods for a week or two and put 70l of juice in it every day I was happy to go back to the kind of work we usually do where 70l could last all week and the machines will last forever.I have no idea, but the way things are looking I reckon it's better to be diverse. The thing I really like about the tractor (and I know it sounds dumb/obvious but bear with me) is that you can do so many things with it. Even more than a digger really.
The organising is the biggest headache for sure.I get you on the smaller kit .....8t is my biggest machine , only a large mini digger realky but even with that I put a few km of forest tracks in and while it made a nice change to stay in the cab for a bit by the time I'd smacked the digger about in the woods for a week or two and put 70l of juice in it every day I was happy to go back to the kind of work we usually do where 70l could last all week and the machines will last forever.
It's seems a fairly diverse going on you have which can mean a fair bit of organising but like you say got to be careful not to have all your eggs in one basket and to be able to do most things that are asked of you will always keep you busy![]()
no question ..... used to spend my waking hours keeping 12 blokes busy ... it is not easyThe organising is the biggest headache for sure.
