I've got a Draper one sat on the shelf unused for years, think it's done one job.

Not a proper brand but you can have it for free if you want 👍

Yeah new is about £900 for a makita and over a grand for bosch. I really would prefer 240v and ideal would be a makita ls1219l or bosch gcm12gdl as it looks like they go back against a wall so i could use it in the shed easier.

I’ve a 305dewalt but 110v, wish I’d of stuck with 240 for it, as it’s abit slow! .. always thought about smaller but it’s surprising how you soon max one out when mitre cutting etc!

I think whether you go for bosch, dewalt or whatever, you're pretty much getting the same thing give or take. What I will say though, getting a good stand made a big difference for me. Cutting 200 x 100 x 2400 green oak, or even hefty softwood, if I needed to cut 100mm off the end then it was difficult due to the weight of the timber not being balanced on the saw. The bosch gta 3800 I got was a bit of a game changer, especially with the additional legs that fit on the far end of the rest.. not cheap, but worth it for me

I had the Bosch 110v for a number of years then got the 305mm Dewalt 54v what a saw that beast is, I am now thinking of getting the smaller 54v one though for studding etc as the 305 is a big heavy saw to carry through doors etc

have the big extending stand and the smaller popup wheeled one have my battery table saw setup to use either as well
