Yeah fair size firm,can't see brexit being a reason to close a firm that's otherwise ok,other underlying reasons?

To be honest if youre in the market for a new tractor you could do a lot worse than buy a restored 7810. You know theres 30 years life in it again and nothing to go wrong on the electrics!
A new 80hp tractor would be double that nearly

the used market is not that great right now for sure. Lots of gear prices are all over and the marke is slack / stalled. Bits and bobs going on but its not busy

Found out last week as a few friends work for them, currently got gear on hire from them and havent had a phone call yet sad to see it happen but its no shock very top heavy firm with lots of overheads most members of staff have brand new pick ups / discoverys etc.

Im sure everything will be squared up and wish them well focusing on the timber side of the business but do feel sorry for the hauliers who worked along side them as bonds dont actually own any lorries its all subbed out with there livery on

Has not been great for a while, the weak pound is great but then germany are dead, italy are quiet, There is still export but even the 3cx market which was booming for us a few months ago has slowed. We had a very regular customer who bought 3cx machines of a certain spec age all the time from me, we had another come in a few months after the last and they simply replied with we are full, nothing is selling (poland) I have never had that with a backhoe and it opened my eyes.

Used prices are dropping too. Its a funny old game atm

I have started to pull he pin on deals i wouldnt usually do (lower margin) without the prospect of replacement. Just see how things go. I am by no means saying its dead but its quieter than i have seen it for the last 5 years. Q2 was desperate after our best ever quarter prior.

I was watching dumpers go under the hammer at Euro Auctions yesterday; prices certainly seemed well down.
