Volvo ecr25D on hire

Hired a ecr25D for a week or so. It’s quite a powerful machine compared to what I remember of my similar sized old Hanix but I’m finding it very sharp on the dipper and the ram seems to really thump if you dead end it but the boom is smoother and has suppression before the ram is dead ended.
Is this normal on these machines ? My little ec18c doesn’t thump when you dead end the dipper like this one does

I have a ec27 & it is the same! Volvo installed a different pilot valve as a “upgrade” to smooth hydraulic’s but not much difference.

Yep that’s exactly how I remember them driving too. You get used to it and I thought they were a nice machine for their size. Cab is very good

Can’t say I’ve any issues with mine apart from paint not being the best
nick…
