£55k .... 2ltr petrol hybrid .... why's it have two filler flaps?

" The Leopard 8 is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four petrol engine paired with dual electric motors, delivering a combined output of approximately 550 kW (over 700 horsepower). This setup enables the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under 5 seconds. A notable feature is the “Violent Mode,” which unleashes maximum power at low speeds for enhanced performance.

The vehicle utilizes BYD’s Dual Mode Off-road (DMO) plug-in hybrid system, featuring a 36.8 kWh BYD Blade lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery. This configuration offers an electric-only range of approximately 100 km (WLTC) and a total range of up to 1,200 km (CLTC) when combining electric and fuel power.

Designed for rugged terrains, the Leopard 8 boasts a body-on-frame chassis, DiSus-P air suspension system with adjustable ground clearance up to 310 mm, and multiple off-road driving modes such as snow, sand, mud, and wading. It also features low-speed 4WD mode and three automatic differential locks to enhance off-road performance.

The SUV’s cabin is equipped with advanced technology, including a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, a 17.3-inch central infotainment touchscreen, and a 12.3-inch passenger display. Additional amenities encompass a 50-inch augmented reality head-up display, ambient lighting, a fragrance system, and an 18-speaker audio setup. Seating configurations are available in six-seat (2+2+2) or seven-seat (2+3+2) layouts.

The Leopard 8 is the first BYD model to integrate Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 3.0 driving assistance system, featuring a roof-mounted LiDAR sensor. This system offers advanced intelligent driving capabilities, including urban Navigate on Autopilot (NOA), automated parking, and handling complex driving scenarios.

Sorry I got it wrong the new Freelander is a cherry

:oops: " Freelander 8 is coming to the UK, and it’ll arrive some time in the second half of next year. But don’t, whatever you do, call it a Land Rover, :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: as this isn’t a new, low-cost entry into the iconic British company’s range. Instead, this is a licensing deal between Land Rover and Chery............At 5.1 metres, it’s around 350mm longer than a Defender 110 without the spare wheel attached, and offers masses of space inside for up to six people. Other, smaller models will also arrive in time "

" The plug-in hybrid powertrain features Chery-derived technology, rather than the expensive units found under the bonnets of UK-built Land Rovers and Range Rovers. This will include Chery’s PHEV arrangement that uses a small 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine largely as a generator to feed two electric motors. "

rather defeats the object of the leccy chariot game
