Any better photos of the said written off machine…? I’m always the optimist, so it say it’s completely fixable from the photo I can see on the gofundme page? Hopefully a replacement window and some hoses and your all set

Has it been into another fire as now being reported as completely destroyed?

Must say for a machine that’s been in a fire it looks in good condition not much plastic melted ?

Apart from Brocken window and puncture what was up with it?

Hitch looks to have been removed? Pins are there no ripped lines, wheel off for puncture?

@DaveDCB @Giles @Vinpetrol Apologies for yet another link but at the end of the clip the digger is shown after being moved for Danny to assess the damage. No official report or assessment as the digger was on my dad’s land so only insured for road use. The digger has been started but I am guessing until it is worked there is no way of knowing extent of damage to engine. Danny did say that it was ‘screeching’ .

could well be the pump short of oil if the hoses had let go and dumped a tankful
assume front bucket fell off when the quick hitch supply lines succumbed
as for melted placcy - looks to have been the other side exposed more to the fire

Amazing how the window exploded from the heat but none of the plastic even the rubber boot on the beacon didn’t show any heat damage really good engineering on it.

Those windows do slap around though if not restrained broke one on a 3cx before swinging around hitting the door.

I’m surprised the tyres went without the mudguards melting, and even the numberplate hasn’t warped (they don’t tend to be massively heat-tolerant).

Yes, a neighbors shed went on fire a few years ago, the number plate, mudguards, cab roof, light lens etc melted on his tractor, but the tyres where ok.

We had a bonfire in the yard a few years ago that ended up a bit out of control and it melted the wing mirror and some body trim on a Nissan Cabstar. The rest of the van was fine though.
