Hi, I have been replacing hydraulic pipes on our 2004 TV 1200 roller and sorting a few rust spots. Now rebiult and running but problem with brakes/steering.
Can apply full left lock but no right lock possible. Also, brakes seem to be locked on. I have checked all connections are correct, (took pic's of pipe positions)
but not playing ball. Any idea,s any-one ??

Think you may be right but cannot find any way of bleeding system.Have ran engine with pipes removed but no signs of air.

Have you definitely got the brake release pipes in the correct position? It’s easy to get some of them mixed up with the case drain line on the motor drive.

Brake release pipes have not been removed. Mainly steering pipes at wheel and rear pipes on drive hub.

most machines will bleed themselves just operate it back and forth for a bit and see what happens

Will take another look today. Got too busy yesterday. Things only break when you use them !

Tried again today but still got problems. Turn steering left, all OK.
Turn right and no response but will move forwards and backwards whilst spinning wheel to right lock. Brakes binding but moves. All pipework is correct after replacement. Are there
any electronics that could cause this?

Hmm, have you put the steering return and pressure pipes in the right place? I'd hazard a guess that the pump supplying the steering actually releases the brakes on the drive motors. Those danfoss units are easy to plumb up incorrectly. Ports are marked though so worth a check?

4 pipes on steering box. 2 cannot be interchanged but 2 (smaller) pipes can, and were. Steering was running opposite way round. Swapped around and had above problem. Could /is it possible for this to have caused a major airlock or other damage?

There'll more than likely be either a micro switch or magnetic contact on the forward reverse joystick to switch brakes on or off. Check this and associated wiring which will likely control a solenoid valve.

can't see it ..... recirculating circuit, so should cope easily with air ... getting P and T wrong on the orbital would not be good, but as you say they're not interchangeable, you should be fine ...... is a pipe change the cause of all your problems???? did you blow the pipes through before fitting ... can some times get crap in 'em which can block ports, orifices and valve galleries

I have before now had a new hydraulic hose supplied overcrimped, stopping any oil passing through!...
Not saying that’s the issue here but possibly worth checking.

Rear drive pipe had rusted through on crimp joint so replaced that and also replaced what I believe is the vibration pipe , left rear. Was going to have panels blasted but due to lockdown decided to reassemble and leave til another time. Just tested flow through both pipes and no problems.

it's any rubber crumbs from manufacturing ... can block spools/orifices ... and those orbitals are pernickety lil' b'stards ..... a rubber crumb brought my 'Drema to a halt a couple of years ago ... took some finding and I ain't forgetting it in a hurry ...... really doesn't take much ... in the right place  ... if it ain't too much work I'd be inclined to have the orbital off and back flush it with much lower pressure than pump pressure

Problem found. Brake release block, used during strip down( 1st time used in over 10 years). Central shaft with ports to divert hydraulics on brakes has snapped. Have wired it into position and now have full drive & steering. Just need to track down a replacement.
Thanks for help / suggestions.

Done as you suggested and could find nothing wrong and flow was good. Try brake block next.
Cheers

Our hose crimper was doing this on 1/4 fittings when it over run the micro switch. But if it steers one direction there must be Oil flow.
