This bracket for the money is excellent too. So easy to pull away from wall to muck around with the cables etc and adjust viewing angles..
Needed if you flush the TV into a recess.

Mrs tasked me with getting a new TV we’ve been suffering with a 38” after I broke the 55” throwing remote at it in the 6 nations a few years ago lol ( in my defence was only slim credit card remote but it cracked the screen lol )

So as it’s Black Friday etc what should I be looking for thinking Samsung as it’s what we’ve got/had previously around 60-70”

Oled?

I used to be a geek all over this stuff now out of touch

42" LG plasma we've had for donkey's - good pic and does the job .. doubt I watch more than 3-4 hrs a week, unless there's a decent film on - even Pam has gotten PO-ed with all the crap on there lately and has cut back probably 90% on her time spent looking at it all

There's too much choice on TV/netflix now. And it's quantity over quality. Plus the fact you don't have to be there at a given time. Very little incentive to really engage with any of it. I prefer Planttalk.

65" Curved screen LED Samsung here great picture The curved screen was a gimick when they came out but it was a freebie tv so I am not complaining.

Another vote for Samsung 65” it’s about 6 years old now so abit slow with all the apps loaded onto it for different streaming crap.. will have to get the same size if it ever breaks 😂

Got a 3 of the hisense TVs, latest one we bought doesn't need a physical aerial and can stream live TV through the freely app, which was the main point of buying it as don't have an aerial
Have a 65" hisense downstairs and good quality for the money
Wouldn't use Currys as their customer service is appalling and can't be arsed with the hassle of trying to get things sorted through them again, annoying as they are only a few minutes drive away but would rather s**t on my hands and clap than hand them more money
