For cars the ford gt40 race at good wood revival is pretty hard to beat. Watched a few laps up close but had to move away as the noise is just insane.

Speaking of which, Clarkson wrote a very good book called 'I know you got soul' about unforgettable machinery which is well worth a read. The car is surprisingly forgettable though

Have you ever been to Goodwood FOS? If not put that on your bucket list and take Jonesy with you, it's amazing. Have a bit of a Google at the Fiat 28ltr 4 cyl 'Beast of Turin'. That's 7ltrs per piston in a small car, the engine is about 6ft high.

Forget the festival of speed, if you could only get to one I would recommend Goodwood revival every time. Everything about it is awesome from the amount of people dressed up to the way they are proper races not just a hill climb.
