One of my Manitou 625 has got a very oily turbo (also is loosing water so I’m hoping head gasket which I have ready to fit) anyway does anybody know of a good turbo company that refurbishes or supplies small turbos will be pulling the top off next week (I hope)

I wouldn’t ever fit a re-furbed turbo. Too much risk if it hasn’t been done properly.

No guarantee it would be the same turbo, it may physically bolt on but there is many variables for the wheels and the exhaust housing.
Better to take the part number off the turbo and stick it into Google.
You can buy new chra cartridges but they are very hit and miss quality wise as they tend to be cheap pattern parts
Just looking back turbo technics was £228 with the vat to rebuild and test, they even sand/soda blasted the exhaust housing to freshen it up. Was only a couple of day turnaround but to be fair they are local so dropped off and collected

Kubota will have the build list for the original engine, and this will include the part no. for the turbo, which you can match to the existing one, or they’ll know if the turbo has been superseded. I haven’t any knowledge of Turbo Tecnics but what parts do they Use if they’re turning them round so cheaply? An expensive turbo is still cheaper than a new engine if the impeller vanes go through the cylinders.

Turbo technics are a huge turbo manufacturer/remanufacturer.
Not sure on the work they did I handed them a turbonetics t62-1 turbo and they sorted it, the turbines were fine so probably bearings, seals, testing and balancing.

They made a lot of conversions kits for fords and other marques.

Turbo Technics have been around as long as I can recall .... used to do twin turbo kits for SD1 V8s
