Track bolts.

Hi, here's another maintenance whilst we're all hopefully keeping safe! Was wondering what the torque figures are for track pad bolts on a 13 tonner and procedure-are they pre tightened and then torqued up or basically do I just swing off the end of a scaffolding pole?!!!

What size bolt and thread is on your 13T? Metric or UNF

They should be torqued up, here is a guide I follow

do it as well as you can,but learn to do it better
would think that the issue is detritus accumulation, between track pads and chains ...... like when fitting new chains ... pads and chains need bare metal contact, with no paint / detritus, between the mate faces

' be mine too ..... square face to face ;) .......... unless there was a tapered seat for the tapered/rad.-ed side to seat in :unsure::giggle:
