Those are brilliant - I have some from a similar source (never been able to find them for sale though).
You can also reuse them if you squeeze the sides with pliers - they pop back open.

I use glue heat shrink connectors.

Will be interested in how it fares long term. I kept looking at those as they are damn cheap, but botteld out and went with another R-tech for my smaller mig I bought last year.

ditto ... 'tis bloody cheap ...... but 8.2Kva input .... no wonder they include a 32A plug and socket .... and that's pushing it !!.... my 250A Warrior is on an adequate 16A plug

Those are brilliant - I have some from a similar source (never been able to find them for sale though).

They are called "jelly crimps" and as above, are normally used for joining telephone lines

It's not as bad as it looks - the £0.39 is for a 5 pack, and a 50 pack is under £2

They are great and I go through 1000's a year for connecting firework wiring. The proper pliers do help with reliability although they can be done with any pinching tool or your teeth. Don't put a handful in your pocket on a really hot day as all the gel runs out lol

I wouldn't pay too much attention to the 200amp rating, will no doubt be Chinese amps. I had it almost flat out with 0.8 wire and have only blown one 13amp fuse trying to weld a tow bar on the dumper. It's good for thin stuff but I wouldn't buy one for thick steel. Luckily I bought it to weld up the rangie and that it did well.

I think it would look better if I did continuous welds to get it hotter. Trouble with that is it would pop the 13a fuse. I need to put a proper cable to the shed rather than a extension lead.

So i wanted a easy way to check the weight of some buckets and kit that goes on my trailer. Looked on ebay for crane scales thinking something secondhand. Then i noticed this and seamed ideal upto 300kg. So £17 was sent and see what turns up. I will say i am quite pleased with it. I tested it on a bag of cement to start thinking it was not going to be very accurate but 25.1kg including a strap around the bag

It just seams to be a nice cheap and easy way to keep an eye on the weight of things.

i find a 4 inch nail works much better than a 13 amp fuse

I favour an m6 bolt with the head cut off, but that’s cause I don’t have nails.

You've got to get one of the black rubber plugs the white plastic ones just leave the pins in the socket

Tbh it's not hard to wire in a 16a plug if it's just for use in the workshop
