Has anyone here ever driven a fully loaded transit tipper into a underground carpark, unloaded it all, then had to put it all back on again to get out...

Reminds me of the time a chap from work borrowed one of our vans he took a load of rubbish along with his old washing machine to the local tip drove in under the height restriction bar unloaded drove out and put the biggest dent you have ever seen in the roof of the van as i
He did'nt clear the bar on his way out what made it even funnier was he was a director of the company

Or...went down with a transporter fully loaded through M6 toll. Got charged as car.
On way back empty charged me a whack more for van.

Was a fun day...

As a teenager I took a loaded dolly trailer through a town bother. On the way back empty the front axle on the trailer lifted and made a huge difference to the turning circle. This was not a town designed for such large vehicles but the alternative was a motorway so no good in a tractor. I did get through just grazing the traffic lights several sets of pedestrian railings and mounting every kerb and pavement.
