Hello, all. I'm looking to purchase what believe to me a thwaites Alligator dumper. 2 ton pivot steer. I certainly don't want a tarts handbag, I want an oily rag, usable machine. If anyone has one or knows of one, please let me know. Many thanks in advance.

to the best of my knowledge the alligator was a 2.5t unit ... I have one ... good old tool with the weirdest of steering set ups
I did find another advertised locally some time ago - I'll see if I can find the ad. as I doubt he sold it

this is the guy ... took some finding .. luckily he's related to a couple of guys I know and remembered his name ... can but ask

Morning @fenlandbob .. I have had a response back from John this morning.
He still has it and is still up for sale .. he just never pursued it back then
his mobile service is intermittent (lives in the sticks).. so send him your number and he will contact you when he has service.

My old man used to run a plant hire firm when I was a young lad. I'm now certainly not a young lad, and I need a dumper for my own use. I haven't seen, let alone driven one of those dumpers for a very long time. I can remember paddy on site up to the axles in mud and over loaded, crawling along in a cloud of black smoke. Happy days.
