Twats ...setup a skip co...all usual stuff.
Filled up old power station with 13k tonnes of all sorts of crap and then did one .
Absolutely rammed it in and now roofs gone so unsafe to enter.

Hardly subtle ...word from local recovery lads that they were trying to reposess stuff for ages before they went pop.

Htf do they get away with it...the 250k the council have put in is just to get the fire out..and that's wishful thinking (it started last Sunday still burning)

So once again we the taxpayer cough up.

They done loads of them all over the country. I cleared one about 2 years ago. Spent 2 weeks loading walking floors with baled skip waste they had filled a rented warehouse with and done a bunk. Owner didn't realise until the hire company knocked on his door asking if they could get their forklift back out the unit. He unlocked it and they had stacked the bales with enough room to get the forklift in.

Well this one's a spectacular mess...
Rumour has it that Apparently...owner clocked something odd..wanted rid of the building sold it to them for a quid...so now it's an abandoned building ...riddled with asbestos and 13 thousand tonnes of who knows what...
Sad thing is the main original power station structure is actually really nice and a real piece of history...

Do the landlords not get proper contracts with the tenants? Obviously if they are pocketing 6million(estimated ) in waste disposal profit they may well just retire in Spain and never return..

The whole time we where there an investigator was with us and told us about some of the other sites. They new of a site as described in the article at the time presumably the same one. But they didn't know the location they had just heard of it. Another is 140 scrap curtain siders packed with rubbish and parked up on a rented hard standing.

Trouble is if you have the contacts and the balls you'd bring hundreds of thousands of tons of waste in before anyone realised

Minor aside but funny story...
When the place was "operating"
A lad from millers was telling me he had a job to collect a newish wheel loader that had been repossessed..
A bit nieve and they didn't tell him that it was a repossession he took the job and headed up with 4 axle lowloader...
Nonchalantly wandered in the cabin "just come for your wheel loader lads".

Needless to say he came out rapidly without it 😂😂😂😂

I believe they returned with reinforcements..
