I think it’s planned to do that - they are casting/pouring the top, undermining and letting it all fall under its own weight. The bottom is cast as a cutting edge. Wouldn’t fancy being the guy in the bottom of the hole but in reality I guess it’s quite a safe process.

was on one of those VOSA/DVSA/plod posts , which disappeared as soon as I'd snapped this pic - 8 leg tipper, pulled on the road with an axle dragging on the floor :oops: unbelievable .. assume the wire is from the tyre's bead o_O ad the inner rim flange couldn't escape ..... can you imagine the noise this was making ???

funnily enough I was watching that this afternoon - nifty idea, apart from all the extra weight, drag and cost :rolleyes::unsure:

sink hole of some sort ???
There is no hole. Apparently nobody (on the internet) seems to know how it was formed or how long it's been there. It pre-dates publicly available satellite imagery of that area and the river flowing under it causes it to spin around.

what the hell causes it to float, to be able to rotate though ??? :unsure::oops:
