Dovedale isnt far from me. Used to have a ride up every so often in the summer and let the dog play in the river, but later on in the day once all the tourists had buggered off!

went up to IIRC Dove holes quarry circa 1981 to fit a set of tiretrac chains to a CAT loading shovel ..... no idea WTF it looked like ... fog was almost impossible to drive in - had an escort meet me at the gate and followed him in, then out again at the end of the day -- was February mind
