this is a real WTF .... importing by-products we used to produce FFS

" Contractors exploiting fly ash in their mix used to be able to rely on good old British coal-fired power station waste, but not anymore – we’re cleaning up our power generation so fly ash has to be imported. "
And because nimbys won't let them dig it back up again either, there is an aggregates quarry near me that was back filled with fly ash, a company wants to reopen the quarry to extract the flyash for this reason, but the nimbys are up in arms about it.

Would you accept a ram that's rust pitted slightly for the dealer to sand it down and say it's ok
This is the complete replacement of both rams as a unit previously under original machine warranty and this part still has warranty on it as it took them ages to sort the original ones out when brought up when machine was still in warranty
All ready started to sweat on the lower ram

Chrome doesn't bond well to steel, but it does bond well to nickel
Nickel doesn't bond well to steel, but it does bond well to copper
Copper bonds well to steel
A quality chrome plating is built up using these three layers

So, if a chrome job is spotting (rust), then it's porous through three layers of metal, indicating very poor QC

(If you ever bought a cheap tool and wondered why the chrome comes off in flakes, this is it - no copper, no nickel)
