Obviously it shouldn't have been tied in four places - it needs more radius to flex.
No flag and/or obscured rear lights is the only real problem I see. (shuffle the pipes a bit forward would take care if it.)

Surely there must be a way of doing this ‘legally’ - if the supported ends have the ability to rotate then what’s the problem? (Not in either of the above posts by the way, I can obviously see the issues!).

The flag poles are probably no worse than that of an old style car transporter lorry. At least they are only attached to the trailer. Transit on the other hand...well I'm not sure whether to shake his hand or shake my head.
