We've got to the point that government and local government have become endemically corrupt and it's very hard to see how a change would ever be permitted to happen 😒

Fortunately for us lot we literally know where the bones of civilised society are buried so they can't really do without us 😁

absolutely absurd ... milk is organic and'll dilute rapidly ... get the cat litter on the bulk of the diesel, then treat the road .... these ****ers have way too much power to **** up everyone's lives

Unfortunately not so druid. Bulk release of milk into drains and the environment can have some pretty bad effects. Especially if it gets into water courses.

this wanton waste of tax payers money is the sort of thing that should highlighted and shouted from the roof tops ...
assume this is Monmouth ...
MCC/MBC are a shower of sh1t ...
surprised the 'Beacon' hasn't picked up on it or haven't they received the 'right' info. to highlight it yet Bob ;)(y)

Aber ...
beside Tesco on the main A40 Griffiths have been there 5 months putting in what was originally supposed to be a bus pull in bay ...
now transpires that all it is is a bus shelter beside the road on a plot big enough to pull 2 buses into and have bus shelters set back from road ...
they plan to use the busses stopping there to **** up the traffic flow even further as a 'traffic calming' measure ..
you could not make it up !!
Griff has had 10 blokes there, 4 or, 5 360s, ranging from 10 down to two tonners TM for most of the time they have been at it and have gone down circa 5-6ft to refill it with hardcore, etc. .... for a ****ing bus shelter. Ferk knows why there were two 10 t dumpers parked there - in the way - other than bumping up the bill ..
no where to use them

to cap it all ....
the plot was a 'garden of remembrance', supposedly sacrosanct - untouchable ...
(and paid for by Tescos, with them providing the ground from their plot -- equivalent of a sec. 106 back then)
Tesco's building was built on an old chapel site - with a grave yard -- all the graves they couldn't trace relatives for, to relocate them, if required, had their tombstones 'rested' in this 'garden of remembrance', ...
no idea what happened to the grave's contents :rolleyes:

I know a lot about it as was involved at the time ... had a couple of dozen grave stones sat in my yard whilst the works went on ... re-delivered many back to the garden and was asked to dispose of the surplus -- that was a task in itself :rolleyes::unsure:
Same as zooport train station Bridge well over a year for some foundations and tiled planters. Must have had easy 5 or 6 cranes did hear 1 section had been built wrong had to take away and refabricate it

Thanks I knew there was a technical answer.
And with watercourses being low at the moment the dilution will be stronger and effects even worse
I'm not 100% sure exact location but think might be slightly uphill from river Ribble which is popular fishing spot ...will see in morning but there needs to be a quicker way to sort this stuff if possible...12hrs and absolute chaos on back roads. Sunday drivers not used to single track roads...ran a few into hedges today

Just lucky most folk got grass in last week or it would have been fun 😳😳

so how did the farmers get away with sticking it all down the drains when they had F&M, TB etc. ?

Am I just getting old and remembering the past with rose tinted spectacles? I'm sure when there was a major crash the Police used to do their best to keep traffic flowing. Now even relatively minor crashes seem to be an excuse to shut the road, often for hours, and no one care less what disruption is caused.

Exactly...it's 4 lanes at that point ...even if they only crept past on the hard should it would have made a huge difference to traffic .

Apparently the diesel had mixed up with the milk.. just a huge mess that you don’t want spreading half way up/down the m6!!

It comes back to what I said earlier. If people drove sensibly around things like this then there would need to be less traffic management. But a few (actually quite a lot) spoil it for everyone.
I don't know if anyone else has stood in the closed lane of a motorway or dual carriageway but it's really not a fun place to be.
