if you're cutting a big flat like that pack it up 2-3" in the vice ..... will cut way quicker and more accurately as you're only cutting a much smaller area, as the blade descends and won't run out like it can in a wide cut, getting blocked with swarf/struggling to clear the swarf ... same applies to most width flats, 2" and upwards ... much better, faster cutHere’s my latest Chinese tat. Cuts up to 300mm wide.
No mid range r-tech style option for a large bandsaw- it’s this type or 5k plus. Or get lucky and and old secondhand machine but that’s usually three phase. View attachment 32130
and feed rate is critical ... present the teeth to the work and let them cut with virtually zero down force .... they just need to shave away at the leading edge ... just enough feed rate to keep them engaged with the workpieceGood tip, thanks.
