Back in our favourite brake factory knocking 10 x 500x500 holes in the floor for piles to be driven in then back in after Xmas to rebar and concrete them. New production machine going in with 10 tons per leg did same thing about 4 years ago next to it.

What do you do when you're in a bushfire danger zone? You put in a concrete bunker of course
Not quite finished yet have to get some more fill to place around it as the soil I excavated was used elsewhere on the site.

It's not actually designed to be a refuge for the owners, who will high tail it at the slightest sign of smoke. Rather it is a repository for their valuable things they don't want burnt when the house goes up in flames. Not quite sure what these valuable things are, but they will be well protected by solid concrete and earth and the top of the bunker will be a useful parking spot on their steep block

It's called bloody efficiency. I mean did no one twig that the reason Fred didn't use dynamite was that a few old pallets didn't cost nowt and his old labourer was paid in pints.

Plus he could get rid of a lorry load of tyres too
