Wacker neuson are good for the birds apparently, encourages mating.

Smashing digger for anyone who wants a zero tail. Really nicely thought out and the engineering in the undercarriage and kingpost is really well designed- proper job. If they could just shunt the whole cab back 12 inches on the slew ring I'd have one tomorrow.

In all seriousness be nice to have a counterweight which you can extend hydraulically. That would be ace if you could have a zero but then shoot the weight out 18" when needed

I had a manual version with my old Hyundai and the weight stack on the back. Worked very well.

It wouldn’t be that hard to make a hydraulic version.

It surprises me that noone has done this yet. Realistically things like that, extending dippers or VA booms and more hydraulic flow for flails are about the only things they can improve upon. Almost all machines now are about as smooth powerful and comfortable as you can realistically get. They are running out of things to improve.

Priestman VC20,s had it ... My old Grove TMS475LP crane had a hydraulically extending tail weight too - dare say there were plenty of other machines too

I've seen a hydralically extending counter weight on an auger piling rig. Seemed pretty simple.

I see on FB that the new Yanmar 2.7t coming out later this year has had the lack of left offset addressed.
