Took the 1.7 today, only the 2nd time its been out since I got the 2.5
Great machine though, well worth the 2 trips to Cheshire to see it and collect it. The micro and 2.5 came from a dealer about 4 miles from the yard

I'm currently working on one. £60 a day 8 stories with 500 cars per level. I think they said car parking was 20% of the airports turnover.
£100 fine if you enter by mistake. They have 2 anpr camera cars patrolling 24hrs a day in case someone sneaks through or stops in a blind spot.
I was in a meeting for an hr at the entrance and must of seen a dozen cars come up on the entrance screen with no booking. Plus many others stopping outside on double reds.
Must have been £1000 in fines in one little out of the way corner of the airport.

I wanted to park for 5 days 102 cheapest onsite not much cheaper offside.

Picked in-laws up from Manchester other week, new ‘fast’ pickup zone, you get 15mins to pickup….£6 if you overstay the 15 mins you get fined, but the problem is there is no phone signal in passport/bag collection so it’s bloody hard to get it right, got to pull on on ind estate nearby and wait for them to walk outside to call now

Most the airports don't advertise it for obvious reasons but their is usually free drop off and collection from one of the car parks. Does involve a short free bus journey so it depends how tight you are.

Definitely true of Gatwick. They have quite a few free places that they don't advertise at all. I think Heathrow and Luton are the same.

Last time I got sent a “fine” for stopping on a red line in an airport I wrote back as the registered keeper and told them to send it to the driver, who I refused to name!!
Not sure, but the legislation might have changed now so they can pursue the registered keeper. But it is a complete piss take by all the airports!!

Used to pick parents up from East Midlands airport. There were various gateways just down from the airport that were handy to park in while waiting for their call. The last few years they have all been blocked with concrete bollards and yellow lines everywhere. The airport will say it’s for security but it’s mainly ££££

Yeah the free option is fair.. but who really wants to mess around with all that for the sake of £6 , easier to pay up and moan about it for all eternity
