couple of 'em arrived here last Friday - 4th April ... said to Pam they're early this year

I had a single solitary one arrive on Saturday evening, the earliest I ever recall by about a month.
As other years they never stay initially, they head further north, then come back to nest in about 2 weeks.
I'll be expecting them back again for Easter weekend

Dug this yesterday ready for new tank only to be told they realised they couldn't install it there.
So dug a new hole and part backfilled this 1.

1st job had to rescue a mh cover how it didn't do more damage I don't know. A strong hose!

This twinwall cattlegrid drain currently flows out across a gate way into a ditch on the other side of gateway. I want to pipe it under the gateway but means it needs to drop a good foot where it currently exits to get it below ground. What's the best way to achieve this- thinking a couple of angle bends or is the a special coupling designed for this. Want to avoid grates and pits ideally.

Thanks. This is where my maths is failing me. 2 45degs will take it on the same trajectory as the original pipe but how low depends the length of the small bit connecting the 2 45degs?

If you need to keep it tight up to the original outlet due to gateway position you could just use 2 x 90deg bends and drop it like that.

Yeah I did think that. But think will cut the original pipe further back and use 2 45s so it's underground by the time it hits the gateway. 2 90s would bring it too deep I think and then I won't get the fall into the ditch

Also really with two 90 degree the top one should be a t piece to allow a rodding eye to be installed.

As said 90s not ideal as will make it less accessible, but is you need to and the offset is too great then just crank it over to reduce the difference in invert levels
