I ve just a bowser one we use when mixing in remote areas tend to tow it with just few hundred litres in then fill at location either with pump or hydrant or take it on bigger trailer as they’re a pig to manoeuvre on anything but a dumper etc

The lance ones just don’t tend to have the throughput my washer is a 13hp 12l/min where as small jetters are more like 3000 psi 12 gallons a minute (45 litres) on 1/2 hose not 1/4 etc

Do you find it clears ok? Do you clamp lance on?

My washer is allegedly 25lpm but if you actually measure it it’s about half that by time you have lance and hose attached . Cleans off tracks and undercarriage on machine well enough though. I appreciate my jetter hose is about as small as you can get , worked for me so far. It’s nice having the washer option as well for cleaning up before/during/after rodding as well.

What engine is on it? As the better ones seem to have a big diesel or the big vtwin Honda not a single pot Honda etc

Big single pot Loncin . Chinese cheapness but works .

To save cost, the drawbar is usually far to short - absolute pig to reverse.

How is that to save costs? More likely it’s just what they think the hire market wants- compact.

Anyone else find chapter 8 barriers have some sort of wally magnet installed?

Second time this week I've had someone pull right up to me breaking out tarmac... in a nearly empty car park

People are prats. I'm on a footpath closed job at the moment. Barriers signage cones etc all across the entrance at both ends. I watched a woman walk past and squeeze past a fence to get onto the path. So I had great delight in mowing her down with the dumper

We get it all the time on national trust jobs, barrier off an area then some old folks appear usual response is “I’m a member” lol or just wanted to have a look what you’re doing like we’re part of the attraction

Same here ! Working in a village all heras fenced off for a sewer job and the locals that over look it think they have divine right to come through site personnel gate to get the craic

I don't like the word entitlement but I think in this case it's right....had it on the canal since been fenced off.
"It's closed and fenced off " "I know but Im just going to have a look" these aren't kids either ....it's like folk seem to have idea they can literally go where they like. Again seems worse since COVID for some reason.

Try a tripod, you can set one up and see people try and walk past as close as possible to it. In the narrowest side...

Drag pallet truck pass on slabs with polythene trailing behind...
