Sorely tempted. Have eyes on a secondhand unit.

Trouble is with that and the grab/hitch/buckets it’s another £18k into a machine that I don’t yet know will work for me.
Firstly you will love it.
Secondly the work for it will find you as word gets around!!

Just to be devil's advocate ....I think it depends on your work. I've had an 8 tonner for a few years now. As a machine I love everything about it but for some reason it never seems to stack up for me. I'm on a hired in 8 tonner at the moment as it's only a week long job and the cost to get my own machine delivered was the same price as a hired one for a week delivered and collected! Then there's the fuel thing- bigger machine is great if your on the right kind of work but if I'm on walling work the small machine is saves me £30 in diesel per day and will probably be just as quick if not quicker than the bigger one as much easier getting in and out and positioning etc. Then there's the transport- yesterday I spent untill 1pm sitting in a layby waiting for machine to be delivered- road closure meant the diversion not suitable for lorry so massive detour- so yeah bigger machines are great but for me the smaller ones earn more and are far less hassle logistically. Cheap plant hire has killed the benefit of ownership for me.

your ability to transport your machine is the biggest benefit of all - yes there is the additional costs/hassles/etc. involved in the truck's ownership - BUT !!
it makes it work and the incidental convenience for other related things must be fantastic ..:giggle:
Pity is here, all the shite that goes with that convenience :(:(
