Think it might be better about 500mm backwards on trailer

It has no engine and loads of rubbish in the boot. I wanted to make sure I had plenty of weight on the hitch. Its a tilt bed and didn't really want to come down till the disco was right forward.

My dad asked me to run a machine up to one of his places to go sort out a farm track and some hardstanding, thought it was abit far(would of been 2hr drag)to run up on the tractor even though it’s farm to farm etc etc.. so hired one in locally, low and behold it was delivered on the back of a tractor
Bag of crap TB260, plenty of umph in it still but rattled like mad, heaters ran hot and it was a self levelling bucket.. nice and fast though! did the job!

Five wagons (100 ton) of topsoil placed and levelled.

Four 24” planting holes drilled

Six assorted pallets and builders bags moved 200 yards up a narrow damp uphill footpath to where I took the photo.

Just about to click over 900 hours.

Unbelievably frugal. Six hours work flat out, 22 litres of diesel burnt.

These loaders are some tool for jobs like this.

Awesome aren't they, there is no way I would be on the job I'm on without it, would have had to handball everything up 30 degree slope over mud, rekon it's saved weeks literally

On these varied fiddly sort of jobs with not much space, digging/placing /getting gravel out the truck for bedding backfilling etc,digging a bit side on where needed,digging round risers etc the 6t and tilty is remarkable.

Its easier to do the job which is nice but not vital but bottom line its time saved money made, and not just a bit of time ...its a lot of time on some jobs.

Think it depend on job. Chatting to a rep the other day that sold a tiltrotator on a 2.8t and the chap buying it reckons it saves him a Labour on site. Easy to see it working in those scenarios, small poky clearance and tidy up jobs.

Definitely saves labour for me a lot of the time, just as well as the old git seems to have retired

I’d say it saves a labourer , I only really need one when I’m trenching and can’t get laser on the machine - but idig or a machine mounted receiver would fix that.

Yes ive been guilty of not getting used to the idig but tbf its all there for you with it just got to be prepared to go through a bit of learning which when your busy and just want to get on can be challenging.

With tilty I wasnt convinced it saved a labourer for the first few hundred hours....took me a while to become really tidy with it but now im getting there then it deff does save labour, if you have a labourer whos used to following you around with a shovel then they are going to have to re skill to keep their job if only i could find a way to pipe up on my own id be sorted !
