how do you 'get in'?
try searching for it in Google or whatever you use and link from there (and save the link) -- see if that cures it![]()
A lot of steel in that for a small sumpSo glad to see the back of this one.
Step altered and RC sump pit added to existing raft slab.
In a basement so all by hand. And reinforcement couldn't be cut so that the new bars could lap in.
The only bit I enjoyed was using the new rebar bender.

How do you rate the Max guns? I was looking at them the other day as I don't really rate my Makita.Nice love this kind of stuff we had 5 years or so at brake factory doing press pits and big machinery foundation all 16-25mm bar etc
I bought a few of the max rebar guns to speed up making up 16mm x 16mm 100c/c mats

Cheers looks like a good tool and sounds much the same as my Makita with the loose ties, but that's not often been a problem for my work. The Makita has been really frustrating though, with an intermittent issue where it won't fire. Had the trigger replaced under warranty but it's still doing it which drives me nuts, the idea of tying a whole job by hand makes me want to throw it across the room. They are very good for un skilled labourers to quickly tie up mats of bars etc
Handy for joining up mesh sheets quickly
Good for putting in L bars etc
But they doing tie tight, so bar ends up being slack and can move, i often throw in a manual tie every 5 one etc to give it rigidity. Or diagonals etc to stops mats concatenating up when lifted etc, Ive the two sizes the small and big ones we use them on every rebar project just have to be conscious its not tight, can climb horizontal bars etc on walls where hand tied you could.
That's an interesting looking job.So glad to see the back of this one.
