There are loads of bikes about down here doing TET and the Stella Alpina (that’s what we came down for) - it’s been great fun!
A bloke in our hotel (who was a junior trials champion and rode for the UK back in the day apparently) rode his Harley up some pretty rocky (albeit dry) trails to the top of Fort Jafferau on Saturday, which was a superb effort! View attachment 62402View attachment 62401

There’s a great tunnel you can go through to get up/down - the views are incredible, pictures cannot do it justice in any way!

Blasted up Colle del Sommeiller, one of the highest roads in the Alps at just under 3000m. Managed to get past a few snowdrifts but had to concede defeat 3 hairpins from the end on the big bikes…View attachment 62393

He couldnt get up sommeiller cos it was blocked by the flic.

Ha..... apparently he came down tunnel side and went up the hard side ...he says tunnel side up is for lightweights

That’s what we did (including the Harley!)… None of it is particularly difficult tbh, but it goes seemingly forever and keeps blowing your mind as you turn each bend!
Sommeiller is a great track (not hard either, other than the snow!). There has been a load of politics at play this weekend with tracks being closed by the authorities to try and stop the unofficial biker meet taking place - bit of a shame really but there was plenty of riding available if you worked around the closures.

Pulled into a site yesterday before the heavy rain started…. Literally sunk a good 8” kept foot down and drove straight out.. week prior you couldn’t even see my wheel tracks!!

Somehow dry enough to level this lot out, over 300ton in piles all done and seeded in 4 hours.. surprising what a 6ton and grading beam can do!
Roughed out with 3ft first then over with beam and my granddads old seeder!

Good for loading track dumpers though. Or just slide the bed back as if dropping it off then tip up.

One thing with a standard tar body lorry is you near full height on the tip have to be careful not to headbutt the tail gate when having to put barrow under further

I lost count with the amount of grown men I’ve had in tears when they have hit their head on the 3CX front bucket forks when shovelling out of the front bucket!!
Done it myself afew times too…

Back working in this s**t show again past few days. The pool company came to inspect the temporary works and the pool only just fits. The have got the transition wrong though so having to break it out and re do. Had another sany on site this one done 1200 hours still drives nice. It has had a hard start to its life though broken glass, split blade, concrete all over it cracked top window. It was the only one they had in its been sitting waiting repair so he gave it me at a discounted rate.

Also a little extension to concrete slab we’ve done as client couldn’t fit table in the room. Had to take steel frame down extend blockwork and concrete.
