What’s changed in terms of agricultural development?​

The size limit for new agricultural buildings has been increased. For farms over 5ha (where Class A PD rights apply) then the size limit has been increased from 1,000m2 to 1,500 m2. For farms of less than 5ha (covered by Class B) then the size limit has been increased to 1,250m2.

You still have to ‘justify’ the building. I had the council out to inspect. Luckily it was October and dads 1000m2 shed (edited as I had an extra 0) was rammed with stock and fodder

Put another shift in on the 13t. Im
Okay as long as I don’t get flustered or try to rush. Didn’t touch the dumper skip more than once today and was getting quicker. BIL building up all the top soil for a perimeter bank. Couldn’t watch him as he seemed to be taking some risks. Channeling his childhood buckraking skills according to my wife, but his dad would have been faster . Ignore the waves in the foreground, I was rushing to get the last of the topsoil off. Levels all set and site stripped ready for cut and fill tomorrow.

that is some shed to ram full my old workshop was 10,000ft2 .... that's 11 times the size

Oh yeah our local councils are being pigs lately! But they have probably cottoned onto the fact 5 sheep & 1 grey fergie don’t require a 600m2 spanking new shed

Haven’t seen a mixer conveyor in sometime! Used to be 3 of them in Nottingham, but pump lads soon took over!

Pretty much all we got round here....couple of pumps about maybe.

Handy bloke on it, we've used him for years, hes always calm and makes life as easy as poss for us and I thank him with some beer money of course

I don't think Ive ever seen one in the UK. Never seen the concrete lorries with built in boom pump either. Look really useful for small pours.
Easycrete have a hydraulicly telescopic chute one one of there lorries about twice as long as normal chutes and it's really nice to have on site. Makes such a difference the extra bit of reach

Minimix used to have 1 but it had to be deployed then reversed in if I remember correctly. Used 1 once on a job and wasn't quite long enough that was a seriously hard day

Acoustic enclosure building this week.
Another lorry load of gear onto this roof after 2 on friday and we could get started
Slight snag of the 3.2 ton (according to the crane driver that put them up there) heat pumps being in the wrong place... Site manager makes a few pessimistic noises about getting the installers back later in the week to move them, that's not going to work for us.
2 hours later our Jack's, skates and pull winches are on site, 20 minutes and everything is where it should have been
Worked on till about 6.30, got fair bit done, there's a full weeks work here at least.

I have always considered buying afew chute sections, but guarantee they’d never fit.. & the driver would cry about it!

Ruins me when they only turn up with 1 chute
