Nothing overly special about the job. Just sticking some stiles in as part of a bigger project I'm on at the moment. But was enjoyable taking the dumper out on to the moors to get there and negotiating some pretty awkward terrain in places- boulders and bogs. Cracking weather and view though.

Put a ditch along top to help with the water...it ran like a stream but still not enough to stop us getting washed out.

Out with the slanetrac and micro again this morning. Simply couldn't be without this combo now.
Grab lorry worth of soil from the far end of the garden in a couple of hours, probably used more diesel getting there than on the job

I haven't used my 1.5 on a job in months, it seems like every job that comes my way needs the micro and no hope of anything bigger!

Up in the wilds off grid trust property for game keeper, 2 generators on red.

Camera and sonde and located it thought was just a one chamber job but actually 2 so need another lid. Had to replace last 2 metres as roots had got in the pipe

Sadly brand new one from markos those used ones I got off you were at yard over other side hills and was quicker and easier picking new one up than driving 50 mins each way to get them from there.

This trailer was worth every penny, so much easier to use than the 10ft twin axle for 2 pigs! Or messing about with plywood lids on the normal p6e.
Straight on and away in a couple of minutes

On the bracken control currently. I run a single rotor topper on the alpine in reverse, being hydrostatic it’s lovely and quick for short work and shunting into corners etc, of which there are lots on nature reserves!

Obviously it’s not designed to be pushed, and I’ve been pushing my luck as well as it. Twice round the headland at 6am this morning and the headstock fractured. Managed to hook it up underneath the deck and get it home. I’ve welded the headstock, added weld as well as the bolts to hold it on, and most importantly changed the chains for solid push struts. It can still float on the top link.

Also took the opportunity to sharpen and balance both blades.
