Yesterdays non digger efforts

How do you rate them over standard timber joists? I assume they are nice and solid once floors are down?
Plumbers & sparks must obviously love them!

Ive been thinking about why there is even any chat about necessary, useful or whatever, (me included before i got one) and why is such a total game changer of a product (overused expression but in this case its true) quite difficult to sell, yes they are expensive but having seen how they can change things for the better I would just finance one if you didnt have the cash, it will easily pay for itself and make life a doddle.
My mate over here in france with a tilt hitch messaged me asking what its like, as I had time to think about a response I thought of detailing all the best things you can do (and I might not know half of them yet) but in the end I just said "get the right carrier machine and put one on it, you will thank me".
As @JerryRtilt said its all the little things that add up.

I've given up trying to show how useful one is to a contractor on price work. Let the haters struggle, its no skin off my back. Glad its working out for you Kevin, nice setup in your business now with that machine, the new lorry and you're new work mindset. Let the profits roll in and the smile stay on your face

This topic has been done to death, and I get it - I think they are too expensive, not suited to every job and people who have them especially on instagram spend way too much time spinning the bucket around for no real gain. Totally pointless, takes the skill out the job, I can do everything with a standard machine.

They seem solid enough. They provided a clear span which was n the limit for traditional joists so saved an internal load bearing wall. Client has used them on another job and it certainly made the plumbing and electric first fix easier. Just try and get the money back off those trade!!!

Will definitely consider them on our next build, although the next build job is looking like another barn conversion.. where everything is different lengths, scaling off site plans soon go out of the window!

A used one would indeed do it. Kicking myself for not buying an Engcon when it was 6k for a 4 piper!

There are some being sold alongside Sunward for £7500 new as a direct mount 6 hose setup (machine’s own joystick controls for tilt and rotate plus QH lines through the head) for a 1.5-2 tonner. No extra service though so only any good if you just dig.
I was actually surprised by how expensive they are for an unknown half-baked setup - I was expecting them to be £4k max for that spec.

River came up over 2’ last night breached our dam but we are well out the water now after a big week of throwing them in. Hard to keep them straight like the welded ones will give them an adjustment with one of the big road plates when we lift them out the river.

On the 3rd layer now so hopefully get job buttoned up this week.

Moved the dumpers for a Saturday shift filling in some machine pits at the factory we installed 5 years ago for new production equipment.

Couldn’t fit them on 1 trailer so 2 trips be interesting if anyone has got them on 1 load. short of a 20x7’ ifor lol or a transit style pickup and trailer combo not sure how you’d do it.

Wrapped this one up today.

Big rush job for the council, 45m of 125 dia ducting in for new EV chargers.

Priced a while ago but then given a few days notice to start. Given the site Weds and has to reopen Mon.

Pretty awkward at times what with having to dig up the access, can't get grab pile near road due to electric gates, difficult access and lorries blocking road, finishing on a Saturday etc.

Thankfully all went well, in and out in 4 days.

They don’t like pumps after previous contractor shot cleaning ball out and covered a worker and about 10 pallets of brake pads plus blocks forklift routes and pedestrian paths in the factory etc

We poured lots of concrete in here with the duo.

Started off knocking edgers off with power pack but far too much like hard work so shot and got mini to speed it up before concrete arrived

New production line going in next year or two but north roof needs lifting 2-3 feet first so we’ll be back

We had a pump on site a couple of months ago that put the ball in the end of the pipe and sucked it back through to the hopper then just opened the trap let the last bit out and washed down. No mess atall.

Yeah that’s normal way, was before we took over here which was 2009 ish

Pumps just don’t work across factory layout with resin floors have to be up on pallets stop scratching etc then cleanup of pump etc

Voli had no other jobs today so no waiting time etc

Looks pretty dangerous having a kids slide exiting in a forklift work area…
