Me too got a Harrison’s one for not much less than digbits hardox as just didn’t know, forever trying to straighten them on the corner of the blade

Digbits have a very convincing youtube vid showing tines being tested on a press, no comparison Hardox is the material for the job.

It'd help with wear but think they'd still bend further up the tine.

Is there anything even harder wearing than Hardox? Can't deny it's good stuff but still finding the grab plates are wearing quicker than I'd like.

Hardox up to the brace, lot of work to replace them but not impossible, probably best to sell and replace

Backhoe coming in handy today. New gate and posts for the church.
The church warden gave me a hand to do the job to keep costs down, I think he was impressed how easy it all was with the right equipment and skills. That kissing gate surround will be getting new pickets courtesy of the sawmill soon too, and we’ve cut the timber for the local joiners to make a replacement gate for inside it

Yeah I think may do that at some point maybe get 1 for the wacker thenHardox up to the brace, lot of work to replace them but not impossible, probably best to sell and replace

Different grades of hardox i think, also I think there is a redox too but unsure of the difference

You get harder metals but hardox(abrasive plate) is still weldable and impact resistance is good whereas tool steel and high-speed steels are not weldable and ceramics are not impact resistant.
You can go from 400-450-500-550-600 and is still weldable and supposably still machinable, I have boxes of buggered drills and countersinks that would tell you otherwise

Excellent tool under a tilty, use it in all directions , sweep side to side etc. becomes very adaptable.

Long day today
getting kit to site and this unit in while the ground is still dry ,managed to get across paddock and skip of dry mix bobbed down behind me all saving time.Rain forecast the weekend, hope to be connected and signed off for friday
