7k tank turned up Not a single lifting point and we only had 100mm spare between two old steels real ball ache to get it lifted straight to sink it in.

I know your not meant to but for situations like this I keep the single lift slings off the rebar and just concrete them in.
Saves mucking around trying to set and realease strops and chains

I was working on 7 bags of 25kg to 800kg.... 3.5 grading buckets in a Dumpty bag.

No, I'd empty the dumpty on the ground and mix in in layers, 1 grading bucket then 2 bags and so on, in the end it was a ton of concrete at a time and worked well for this application, putting in a gulley to protect farm track from road run off

We do similar. Or in tipper.
Tipper vans or trailers are good as you can move the material from side to side to mix it so no need to empty on the floor. Although have to be careful as some machine drivers will quite easily bend the sides

Would it not be worth upgrading to the hydraulic one. I think I'd would find the benefit is lost if I had to get out of the cab to get it on the right position. Mine is flicked in and out constantly, even use it for things like hanging bulk bags off to bring the weight closer into the machine. RSL ones are good though. Don't even notice it on there.

I gave serious thought to getting the hydraulic one when I got the case, decided against it in the end, can't remember the specific reason now
The job I was doing the other week got me wanting a grapple, picking up a couple of bricks at a time with the thumb was far from ideal, but picking them up by bucket also wasn't suitable. There was a point when it suddenly clicked in my mind 'ahh right, this is why people go for grapples' but again I can't remember specifically what it was
