-4 here this morning (according to pickup thermometer). Very cold for down South. Don't think it got that low the whole of last year. Beautiful day though. Would rather it were cold than rain any day.

Brand new machine has ran like a bag of spanners all day. Kept bogging down. Think the fuel was freezing in the lines. Spent more time defrosting stuff that actually working

I loaded up a trailer this morning with pea shingle loose and leveled it off with a shovel. Half hour drive and it was frozen solid. And had to dig it out with a machine
