If the biggest mistake I’d ever made by the age of 22 was trying to be clever and end up bending a mixer then I’d have done well!
If he’s a decent lad then put it down to experience - we all cock up now and again.
If it was done with any sort of malicious intent then stick his hands in the mixer….

Christ my list pre 16 is beyond stupid… glad I got it out of the way before I started on my own kit😬
Tractor on its side wedged against a tree, gate post through front Tractor grille, ran over the dog(she was fine), crushed hand in back box linkage, gas bottles on bonfire(looked well cool!) keyboard stand through bedroom wall, cut my carpet out, smashed the washing machine glass door to get my clothes out… heck knows what my kid is going to get up too 😂😂

Don't complain - suggest what's better
It's easy to be judgmental, especially in the heat of the moment, but you know the lad. If he didn't do it maliciously, but genuinly thought it a good idea to help clean it out you are probably onto a winner with him. He is trying to improve your systems which can be a good thing, as long as he learns from this and thinks things through a bit more first. I'm always trying to improve the way we do things. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but in my case it is my money I'm playing with.

Final run of this jobs drainage, £50k of drainage on it, steep run had to step it with a couple of drop chambers into the treatment plant. New splay been done 2 weeks and dog walkers already decided they can park on new grass and walk dogs down the lane, didbt have time to drop a boulder front and back so left them a note.
